A Message From Our President
Jaclyn Gilbert
Soon we will be welcoming in a brand new year of adventures and opportunities for Women In Corporate Aviation (WCA). It has been a very busy year with all of the conventions our organization has participated in and contributed to. I am humbled to serve alongside some of the most selfless and amazing women I have ever met. Words cannot express the many “thank you’s” that should be given to all of our volunteers who have given their time, expertise and talents that make this organization such a success. This of course could not have happened without the vision Liz Clark envisioned 25 years ago. I am excited as we go forward as a team to build, support and unite with one another in all aspects of corporate aviation to make the business aviation community more visible.
Scholarships were a big reason I was attracted to this organization. On a scholarship program note, we almost continuously have a scholarship window open in the US and Europe. The scholarship window for our WAI – Women in Corporate Aviation Career Scholarship valued at $2,000 will be coming to a close on 12 November. This year, WCA has awarded over $70,000 in scholarships, many of which we successfully awarded during our 25th Annual Scholarship & Networking luncheon at NBAA – BACE in Orlando this past October. I cannot give enough thanks to our generous corporate sponsors and members and donors who made this year’s scholarship program a huge success!
Cheers to 25 years! If you have ever dreamed of a career in corporate aviation, consider WCA as an ally in your journey to success. We have mentors to help you along your journey, and networking opportunities available at the numerous conventions and events we attend across the US and Europe. We look forward to helping members network to achieve their ultimate goals!
Sincerely,
Jaclyn Gilbert, President
